IPv6 and LIR Training
The AfriNIC LIR Training will provide resources for Eko-Konnect membership to better understand how AfriNIC manages Internet Numbers Resources, become Afrinic members, request Internet Resources and efficiently use the AfriNIC database.
This workshop is being hosted by the Nigerian Internet Exchange Point with the collaboration of the ICT Forum. During this workshop, organisations will get help with their IP resource application process on site.
Course Highlights
-LIR and IP Resource Planning Scenarious
-IPv6 from an IPv4 perspective: Similarities and important differences
-IPv6 Business Readiness Planning [Open discussion]
-IPv6 Transition Techniques [Concepts and Configuration Scenarios]
-IPv6 Intra-domain routing with OSPFv3
-At least 8 hours of hands-on practical configuration scenarios.
Fees and Charges
The participation in the training is FREE of charge and open to AfriNIC members and network operators in that priority as well as anyoneinterested in understanding the management of Internet number resources and/or the operation of IPv6 networks.
(Note that AfriNIC will not bear any transportation and/or accommodation costs for the participants).
Target Audience & Prerequisites:
Network engineers and systems administrators who can set up and manage an IPv4 network. Good knowledge of IPv4 networking and routing protocols as well as ability to use the Cisco CLI are mandatory.
