Eko-Konnect is anchoring activity Nigeria to build skills in faculty and students of mass communication and journalism departments to develop in the field stories and investigative journalism that informs research and education communities and other interested parties for a West and Central African Research and Education News Network. The news network will describe the successes and challenges of research and education networks and impact on communities in West and Central Africa the possibilities for unleashing the potential of NRENs (national research and education networks).  The news platform goal uses emerging media and traditional media for the dissemination of content. With the high involvement of students particularly in the journalism and related mass communication disciplines to experience science and technology reporting which is one of the fastest growing areas in journalism.
